👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Start
-
Place chicken soup pack straight into a large pot.
-
Add water, onion, garlic, bay leaf, pepper, and thyme.
2️⃣ Bring to boil
-
Heat until it starts boiling.
-
You’ll see foam rise to the top — this is normal protein.
👉 Use a spoon to skim off the foam for a clearer soup.
3️⃣ Gentle simmer
-
Lower heat to medium-low.
-
Simmer gently for 60–90 minutes.
-
Do not boil hard — slow cooking makes richer broth.
4️⃣ Add vegetables
-
Add carrots, celery, and potato.
-
Cook another 25–30 minutes until tender.
5️⃣ Finish
-
Taste and add salt.
-
Remove large bones if you like.
-
Sprinkle parsley or cilantro before serving.
⭐ Flavor Boost Tips
-
Add a small piece of ginger for extra warmth.
-
A squeeze of lemon or lime at the end brightens flavor.
-
Soup gets thicker and richer after cooling (from bone collagen).
